Managing healthcare workers exposed to (or with) COVID-19

Queensland Health’s ‘Managing healthcare workers exposed to or with COVID-19’ document has been updated is now available.

The document outlines the procedure to be followed by authorised senior managers of Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) when determining work permissions and restrictions for healthcare workers who are either exposed to or have tested positive to COVID-19.

Pfizer booster TGA approved for 16 and 17-year-olds

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has approved the use of Pfizer as a COVID-19 booster dose for young people aged 16–17 years old in Australia. The advice from the TGA is the first step of a two-stage process, with further advice still to provided by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI).
